| Zellwood Corn Festival 2004 | |
Photos and Captions by Susan Winfree 3 Pages of Photos This was the 31st annual Zellwood sweet corn festival, it's one festival that I NEVER miss. There is something for everyone here. One of the largest craft shows in the southeast gives you a chance to find that 'special' gift, for yourself or someone who might be hard to buy for. Well!!! You WILL find it here. Kids have the time of their life on all the rides on the midway. Lots of games for all ages. The food? There’s all that great fair food that smells sooo-o-o-o good, and -----ALL YOU CAN EAT SWEET ZELLWOOD CORN- ALL DAY LONG! And believe me, I ate my share! It always amazes me how they cook 200,000 ears of corn. The BIG BERTHA COOKER was designed and built for the Zellwood festival, to do just that! She can cook 10,800 ears an hour, in 350 gal. of water. It’s quite a site! ENTERTAINMENT? It goes on all day, each day of the festival. They bring in the biggest stars and also the best local talent. So like i say every year, if you missed this, you missed the best. So mark your calendars for next year. The ZELLWOOD FESTIVAL IS ALWAYS IN MAY----------SEE YOU THERE!! |
