Cars came from all
around the country for the National Horseless Carriage Convention
here in Ocala, FL on 2/17/08- 2/22/08. These cars have been around
since the 1910’s, which almost make them over one hundred years
old. The cars are powered by steam, and sometimes gasoline. Some
features on these cars are the wooden hubcaps, lantern lights, and
the steam powered engine. These cars are used around the world for
tours and a club called the Horseless Carriage Club of America.
These cars have been restored for their use around the world. All
automobiles are Horseless Carriages, but HCCA has defined the
Horseless Carriage as any pioneer gas, steam and electric motor
vehicle built or manufactured prior
to January 1, 1916.
